The H2 Control Problem for Descriptor Systems
نویسنده
چکیده
A solution of the H2 control problem is presented for linear descriptor systems. The solution proceeds in two steps. Firstly, the set of all controllers that stabilize the control system is parametrized. The mathematical tool applied are doubly coprime, proper stable factorizations of rational matrices. The factors are expressed in terms of stabilizing descriptor feedback and output injection gains, which represent degrees of freedom that can be used in the subsequent optimization. In a coordinate system in which dynamic and non-dynamic modes are separated, the corresponding gains are used to regularize the problem and minimize the norm. Finally, a projection result is applied to obtain an optimal controller. Copyright © 2005 IFAC

Optimal Control for Descriptor Systems: Tracking Problem (RESEARCH NOTE)
Singular systems have been studied extensively during the last two decades due Abstract to their many practical applications. Such systems possess numerous properties not shared by the well-known state variable systems. This paper considers the linear tracking problem for the continuous-time singular systems. The Hamilton-Jacobi theory is used in order to compute the optimal control and associa...
متن کاملOn Proportional Plus Derivative State Feedback H2 Control for Descriptor Systems
This chapter studies the H2 control problem for linear singular systems. Firstly a proportional plus derivative feedback controller for continuous and discrete cases for descriptor systems is given, satisfying the closed loop systems normal and stable states. A necessary and sufficient condition for the solvability of this problem should be obtained in terms of linear matrix inequality. In seco...

Descriptor systems constitute an important class of systems of both theoretical and practical interests and have been attracting the attention of many researchers over recent decades. This dissertation is concerned with non-standard H2 and H∞ control for linear time-invariant descriptor systems. Within the descriptor framework, the contributions of this dissertation are threefold: i) review of ...
متن کاملDecentralized H2 Controller Design for Descriptor Systems: An LMI Approach
This paper considers a decentralized H2 control problem for multichannel linear time-invariant (LTI) descriptor systems. Our interest is to design a low order dynamic output feedback controller. The control problem is reduced to a feasibility problem of a bilinear matrix inequality (BMI) with respect to variables of a coefficient matrix defining the controller, a Lyapunov matrix and a matrix re...
متن کاملPI Tracking Control with Mixed H2 and H∞ Performance of Descriptor Time Delay System for Output PDFs Based on B-Spline Neural Networks
This paper presents a robust PI tracking control strategy with mixed H2 and H∞ performance for general non-Gaussian systems based on the square root B-spline model for the probability density functions (PDFs).The main objective is to design a generalized proportional-integral (PI) control strategy such that the PDF can follow a target one with the enhanced robustness. Different form the previou...
